Pdf thumbnail windows 7

Some customers have reported problems viewing PDFs in IE when using Nuance, but with version 8.2 of Nuance this seems to work properly. Half a year after I published the information, Adobe finally incorporated the preview handler fix (but no thumbnails fix, and they leave the preview handler broken if you upgraded from Vista to Windows 7) into the installer for Adobe Reader 9.3.2 (April 2010). NOTE: With Nuance, there is an option to install the integration with IE. Only the thumbnails fix is still needed, except if you upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, where both fixes may still be needed. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroPDF.PDF.1 and make sure EditFlags is set to 00 00 01 00.ĥ) If that still does not resolve it, then you will need to either reset your browser or re-install Adobe.

If you are using Chrome you may also need to go to Settings > Content Settings > PDF Document to make sure that the 'Chrome PDF Viewer' is enabled.Ĥ) Check this key using the registry editor. Uncheck the box for PDF Viewing.Ģ) If that does not work, then in Adobe, go to Edit > Preferences > Internet and look under the Web Browser Options you will need to make sure you have it set to 'allow web viewing.'ģ) In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and make sure the 'Adobe PDF Reader' add-on is enabled. 'Do you want to open or save from ?'ġ) You should first go to Settings > Application Settings.

For some reason, Windows 10 doesn’t support thumbnail preview for PDF files in File Explorer (Windows Explorer). If you are trying to open a PDF document in the Preview pane, and it either does not load, or you see a download prompt like this: If you used Windows 7 32-bit for significant amount of time before upgrading to Windows 10, you would know that Windows Explorer in Windows 7 (only 32-bit) supported thumbnail preview for PDF files.
